The other day my new canvas sample arrived and lets just say, it’s huge! It’s terrible we have been married 6 years next month and I have only finally gotten round to getting one of our wedding images enlarged! You can get an idea of the size in relation to Ash and the fact it is sitting on a king size bed. Now to pick the perfect shade of grey for the wall it is going on.

It’s so hard to find good help these days. I was setting up my little portable studio yesterday afternoon for a shoot I am doing today and Ash decided she would like to assist me and be my model. That lasted about 2 minutes and these were the only 2 faces she would give me, dead fish or cheese! Just aswell she’s cute

Lego is one of those toys that has really stood the test of time! My hubby had kept lego from when he was a kid and Ash finally convinced us to let her play with it (it’s the small stuff not the toddler lego) so her and her daddy sat down and went through it all tonight. I’m happy to report all lego people are now intact and all have legs again

Twinkle.. meet the internet. Internet… meet Twinkle! A few weeks ago we headed down to chilly Melbourne for the weekend to celebrate my 30th. Ash was given a bit of spending money from a few people and she was allowed to buy whatever she wanted (within reason of course!) with it. We went to the Queen Victoria markets and came across the Settlement Bears stand. After much deliberating she decided to buy Twinkle the sleeping bear. These bears are so gorgeous and so so soft, I think I could have bought half the stall! Ash is currently snoozing so I decided Twinkle could be today’s subject

Ash loves her bath.. but even more she loves filling the bath with the millions of bath toys she has. This is one of her usual games, she has to line all her duckies up then they have to dive in! If their performance isn’t up to scratch… well.. let’s just say there is trouble and they get a STERN talking to!

Tonight was a quick one as Ash was at her grandparents today while I had work on so I grabbed this of her doing some “cooking” when she got home. I can’t believe how grown up she is looking these days *sigh*.

Well it’s been 6 months since I did my last Photo of the Day series and I actually quite enjoyed the January challenge so along with some other photographer friends I have decided to give it another go! Todays shot was a quick snap before we ran out of the house but it is a usual scene you will see here, Ash on the phone chatting away. Since she discovered how to ring her Daddy and her Nan and Grandad by herself, i have to keep a very close eye on the phone!

Forgive me blog lords for I have sinned.. it has been almost a month since my last post… and a LOT has been happening!

First of all, I am am very excited to announce that the Bradford household is expecting a new arrival late October. Ash will become a big sister!!! As you can probably guess she is very excited by the prospect and has already started planning all the torture.. oh I mean FUN things she will get to do with her new sibling! What this means is that I will be focusing on more studio style portrait sessions in my home over the next few months. It’s time to get back to where this whole photography journey started for me and that is with babies and maternity. As it’s been mainly commercial work I have been commissioned for lately I am in need of a portfolio update, so if you know any pregnant mummies-to-be or mummies of new bubbas let them know to keep an eye on the blog as I will be doing some Casting Calls in the next month or so. A casting call is a great chance to receive a session at a highly discounted rate whilst helping me freshen up my portfolio so stay tuned!

I haven’t posted any photos of Ash on the blog since she turned 3 last month so here are a few recent snaps of her looking far too grown up for my liking!

That’s what my daughter Ash likes to yell while I push her on her swings.
