Newcastle Commercial Photography :: SULO 10 Millionth Bin Event

Earlier this year I was asked to photograph an event for Sulo Australia. For those of you not familiar with the company, here’s a little blurb from their website.

“SULO MGB Australia operates one of the largest plastic injection moulding plants in Australasia at Somersby, just north of Sydney, on the Central Coast of NSW. The SULO facility is the most highly automated large tonnage injection moulding plant in Australia and is famous for the manufacture of wheelie bins.”

NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell was the special guest of the event which included factory tours and an official ceremony where the 10 millionth bin was unveiled, a striking gold colour!

Newcastle Baby Photographer :: A little update

Dear blog peeps, please forgive me. I have not blogged in, well *cough*.. far too long. Things have been very hectic here and some of my most recent shoots I’m not allowed to blog due to commercial restraints! Instead I thought I would do a little update on my two little chickens.

Miss Emily is now one week from being a 5 month old. She has brought us (almost) 5 months of love and giggles, and gets more and more cheeky by the day. She seriously gets a glint in her eye when she knows she is being a little rascal, then cracks out the biggest grin and knows she has you over a barrel! Check out the pic below, I rest my case! It won’t be long before she is crawling I am betting, she gets her bum up in the air and tries to push off with her legs, just hasn’t mastered the moving the arms bit yet. She is still completely besotted with her big sister and gets SO excited when she sees Ash coming. I can see in my future they are going to be a pair to be reckoned with!

Miss Ashleigh is going to be 4 in May…. excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor. Where did 4 years go? I’m not even going to think about the whole going to school business, that is just TOO scary. As you will see from the pic of Ash below, currently getting your photo taken equates to pulling the silliest face you can. I took about 5 shots of her and each frame was a variation on the one below. She found it hilarious, I have learnt not to fight it!

So it’s been a little while since I’ve had the chance to update my poor neglected blog. Things have been very busy with commercial shoots and design work. On the weekend however I had the absolute pleasure of shooting my Lovebird Photoshoot giveaway session. Dena and Andy travelled up from Sydney and while the weather had been perfect all day, by the time the shoot rolled around it looked like it was ready to pour down any minute! Luckily the rain held off for us and whilst we didn’t get to shoot in that beautiful sunset light, we still managed to capture some fantastic moments. Dena and Andy you guys are too cute and were so much fun to shoot. Here are a couple of images I have pulled out so far.

I thought this year to celebrate all those loved up couples I would give away a free shoot plus a 20×24 print of the lucky winners favourite image.
