It was stinking hot here today so we spent the morning inside in the air con because it was just too hot outside. It cooled down a little this afternoon and Ash decided to put her swimmers on and jump on the trampoline with the sprinkler on it to cool off. We consumed a very aussie menu today, hot chip sandwiches for lunch and snags on the bbq for dinner. I hope everyone enjoyed their day off and didn’t get too roasted by that sun!

It’s great to se so many people get into the spirit of the day and are proud of our country. The picnic areas around the lake were packed and I saw flags hanging from branches in tress, worn as capes, on every second car. We even got given a little Aussie flag at the checkout at Bunnings :D
