Newcastle photographer :: 2011.. what’s in store for you?

So another year has passed and it’s 2011. It only seems like yesterday we were about to welcome in the year 2000 and the evil Y2K ruled the world, or so they thought! 2011 is set to bring big things for my business including lots of changes and new products. The silly season is finally over and today the last of the christmas stuff was packed away. While I love christmas, I must admit I love having my house back without the christmas decorations everywhere and the power boards and cables for the christmas lights in what seemed like almost every room! I hope Santa was good to everyone and you all got to spend lots of time with family and friends which is what christmas is all about.

As I did last year, I will be undertaking my Photo a Day project for the month of January. It’s a great way to capture little snapshots of your kids/pets/other half or even yourself to look back on instead of just bringing the camera out every now and then. It only takes a few minutes and I challenge you all to give it a go, go on… it’s only 31 days!!! This year I will have 2 (un?)willing subjects for me to focus on so surely that’s got to be easier than one right?

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of catching up with a good friend of mine and fellow photographer Kristin from KMU Photography. Kristin had some new lights and modifiers which we had a play with and put through their paces. Danielle was our gorgeous model and was very patient while we fiddled and adjusted and tweaked the setups

I am currently looking for 3 lovely ladies to cast as the faces of my new Boudoir and Glamour side of my Photography business. All shapes and sizes are encouraged to apply, you definitely don’t need to be a size 8! There will be no nudity however you will be required to wear lingerie. All shoots will be very classy and tasteful. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming one of my Boudoir faces, please email me on info@kristybradford.com.au

Please also include a couple of recent images of yourself. Applicants must be over the age of 18 to enter.

Stunning Sarah :: Newcastle Model Photographer

On Saturday I made my way up to beautiful Port Stephens to shoot the start of Sarah’s portfolio. The weather held out for us and turned on the sun… it also turned on the wind but we managed to avoid the full brunt of it by deciding to shoot at Shoal Bay which was a lot more sheltered.

Sarah was fantastic and as you can see looked amazing in her white Seafolly bikini. Thanks to Danielle Hampton for her lovely makeup as always!

So back in August I was lucky enough to attend a fantastic workshop up in QLD with some BRILLIANT mentors. I also got to meet like-minded photographers who were just fantastic aswell. I never got round to adding any of the pics I took up there on my blog so I thought I would finally do it!

To Nichole Van, you my dear are an absolute treasure. SO giving, so extremely talented, and just a fabulous lady. To Zack Arias… WOW. I got SO much out of the short time we had with you and I sincerely thank you for that. To Joey L, well you are an inspiration. I can not wait to see what you captured in Indonesia, I know it will be amazing.

NEWCASTLE FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER :: REVERB MAGAZINE SHOOT

A week or so ago I had the absolute pleasure of shooting some great models in some fab clothes. The shoot was for a double page spread in REVERB magazine featuring clothing from Newcastle Boutique Who’s Yoko?

A huge thanks to Wade Ambler for providing the fantastic hair and make-up for the shoot, and to models Josie (Scene Models) and Dan (Sass & Bentley). You guys rocked it!
