Earlier in the week I caught up with Loren and Jerome and their gorgeous little princess Maisy for their pre-wedding shoot. Lets just say after several reschedules due to horrible weather we FINALLY had the weather gods smiling on us and had PERFECT weather! These guys are such a gorgeous family and I can’t wait for their wedding day, I can just tell it’s going to be amazing!

It got to the mid to high 30′s here today so I decided we would have an inside day and keep cool in the air conditioning. Ash put on one of her Fairies DVD’s which Em absolutely loves. Today’s shot is of Em looking like she’s doing a cheeky giggle. In actual fact this is her version of when you cup your hands around your mouth and yell something out (Haaarmony, Rhaaapsody for those of you in the know!). She has the yelling bit down pat, just not so much the hand part!

Twirling twirling always twirling. Ash will generally have some kind of fairy/dancing dress on for a good majority of the day. The more her skirt twirls the better in her eyes. Whenever I wear a dress she makes me do a twirl so she can rate it’s twirliness factor. Ahh the things that are important to a 4 year old!

Happy New Year! I hope the first day of 2012 has been a great one for everyone. We kicked off our 2012 with some good old summer fun in the backyard with the hose and sprinkler, then finished the day with dinner in the park near the beach. After so much rain the past few weeks I think everyone is trying to make the most of the sunshine and nice weather while it’s here!

Being the 1st of January, today is the start of my annual Photo-A-Day project which I do for the month of January. This will be my third year doing it and it’s great looking back at the past photos and seeing how much the girls have grown. This year my little firecracker Emily is going to prove a challenge. I foresee lots of photos of her running away and very little eye contact if any. She is one, there are much more important things to do than look at a camera when you are one! Ash is now 4 and will quite happily be my little model as long as you get her in the right mood. I do however foresee lots of crazy faces from her but hey, the Photo-A-Day documents our life and my girls ARE crazy

Newcastle Baby Photographer :: 6 months of cheekiness

So my little poppet was 6 months old on Thursday. The time just goes crazily quick and I can’t believe my baby now has two (very sharp!) teeth, is eating solids, sitting on her own and almost crawling! I grabbed a few shots of her sitting on my bed the other day and as you can see she is still as cute and cheeky as ever. Love you lots miss Emily!

First of all, happy new year to everyone! I can’t believe we’ve hit 2010 already, 09 went by WAY too quickly! I’ve decided to join in on some “Photo a Day” fun for the month of January. The concept is pretty simple, take a photo every day of the month LOL. Ash will more than likely star in most of the images, although she can be a very temperamental model so who knows what I could end up shooting! I’ll be posting the images up on the blog and hopefully getting the creative juices flowing for the year ahead. Until tomorrow….

Well I can’t quite believe it but my baby turned 2 today. Her first birthday seemed to come around quickly, but this past year has absolutely flown. Ash is a complete character, so full of attitude and personality, I just love her to bits. There is never a dull moment around our house and I wouldn’t have it any other way

She LOVES to sing and dance (The Fairies DVD’s get a workout in this house) so we got her a little keyboard with a microphone and seat. As you will see from the middle photo below, it didn’t take long for her to get the hang of it.

Trinny & Susannah hit Newcastle :: Newcastle Photographer

Yesterday along with what seemed like a million other people, I went to Westfield Kotara and witnessed Trinny & Susannah in person. If you’re not familiar with this British styling duo, for a start get out from under thar rock LOL and you can find some info on them at their website http://www.trinnyandsusannah.com

The girls are out on a whirlwind tour of various Westfield shopping Centres in Australia and are plucking people out of audiences and answering questions on body shapes and “What Not to Wear”. The girls were in fine form and lets just say several F bombs were dropped which was humorous to those in the audience who didn’t have little kiddies with them. Trinny also didn’t disappoint by flashing her butt at the audience. It was all in good spirits, she kicked off her shoes, turned around to the audience and hiked her dress up to show that she did indeed have short legs and it was the styling that gave her a great set of pins. Here’s a couple of snaps from the show!
